Sam and Anne Huston

Sam and Anne are from Washington State, USA.  Sam and Anne are a great couple and very dear friends. They are extremely active with Ft.Worden Kitemaker's Conference and local kite clubs besides having a full "life beyond kiting". Sam has taught his special "no-sew" kite making technique with classes at Ft. Worden, OKR, the MKS retreat in Maryland, MAKR,  and in England. They build superb kites and Sam is also my rival line laundry maker. One summer at one of our local kite festivals, Anne signed up Sam and me for the "Line Art" competition. "We will only compete if you sign us up, Anne, and if the judges will come to us," we said. Dragging your kite to the competition field is tough when your line is strung with all that laundry! Were the judges heard to say "let's flip a coin?" Sam has terrific line laundry.  Anne had a kite pin made to commemorate their 50th wedding anniversary in 2000. They celebrated by going to Fanoe. (With us, thank you!) Keep on rolling, Sam and Anne!
