#4: Reverse Appliqué Hints, Tricks, and Tips |
| Many, many kites use appliqué as the means
to decorate the kite skin. I use what is normally called reverse appliqué. You
work from the wrong side. Layers are put together, stitched, and then various layers are
cut away to reveal a stained glass effect. Black or a very dark color is the top
layer with white or the lightest color on the back with various colors
inbetween.
