We made so many of these when we first began building kites.  20? 25+? We are not sure just how many but they went to Bob's and Maura's daughter Jamie and her kindergarten class. That was a long time ago, and we are still dragging out the pattern. We have a Hip Pocket, my brother got one, assorted neices and nephews, all our grandchildren and some of their friends. And now in 2024 one for Jamie's and Brian's daughter.
Here is the project page:

Roach's kite The Grandpapa  (aka UCVGP) project kite this year was a random drawing from Achim's book. Our slip gave us Roach's box kite. So we added a Colorado touch and painted a Marijuana leaf on the sides and a couple of roaches on the lower front. Roach's kite flying

The Egyptian parasled is back in business. Bob ripped it apart after the white fabric shattered in 2022. I finally cut out new white panels and made the repairs in December of 2024. No picture as it looks the same. I am so happy to have it back.

Bob's Christmas kite! Again a big thank you to George Paisiovic. The Glite is one of the myriad of paper kites in his collection. This design is "The Rocket Dodger". It is small, about 2 feet tall. Lil' Norpy is another appliqued replica kite. We made a French style fringed tail for him. That photo later. This photo of the Rocket Dodger in the air has a borrowed tail.
