Westport 2005

Bob and Charmayne's King of the Airs replica kite. This is a small cellular winged kite, about 1 meter high.  It was first made in 1912 from red and natural cotton and bamboo. The French rosettes were painted on the natural color cotton. Our kite is ripstop, carbon, and fiberglass. The rosettes are appliqued on. The rosettes were put either on the top cell or out on the wings. We will be offering you the chance to make your own King of the Airs replica kite at the Ft. Worden Kitemaker's conference in 2006.
